Claire Kyunghwa Nam
joined the wine trade in 2005 while studying postgraduate wine business program
at the Adelaide University. Since then, she has worked on various sides of
business from buying and selling to marketing and education in Korea, Australia,
Hong Kong, France and the UK.
She worked as a Wine Consultant at Berry Bros
& Rudd Hong Kong and a freelancer for the Decanter Tasting Team. Claire set
up a micro-négociant GARAM in Bordeaux and has been producing a micro-cuvée
Graves Blanc ‘Les Trois Mains’ since 2016 while continuing to consult, write
and judge at wine competitions.
Claire is a VIA
Ambassador. She holds a Master’s degree in Wine Business from the University of
Adelaide, Australia, a Certificat de Spécialisation Commerce des Vins from the
CFPPA, France, as well as a WSET Diploma. Currently, she is pursuing the Master
of Wine studies, and passed the practical part of the exam in 2015 at her first
attempt.
